8.5 RELIABILITY PROBLEMS:

NOISE WHEN DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES

CHECK AND TEST 1

Step 1

Check to verify whether door and shelves are
in normal position, and whether there is abnormal friction between food packages and appliance walls.

Step 2

If so, move food materials until the noise disappears.

Step 3

Listen carefully to determine source of noise.

Step 4

Use small brush to add Vaseline onto hinge pins and inside hinge holes. Open and shut door several times. Repeat above steps until noise disappears completely.

DIAGNOSIS 1

PROCEDURE 1

Step 1

Remove the top cover.

Step 2

Unscrew.

Step 3

Remove top cover.

Step 4

Unscrew 3 bolts and remove the door hinge.

Step 5

Remove upper door.

Step 6

Unscrew 2 bolts and remove the middle hinge.

Step 7
 Remove bottom door.

Step 8

Tilt cabinet by 10 degrees.

Step 9

Unscrew the adjustable foot.

Step 10

Unscrew 2 bolts and remove bottom hinge.

CHECK AND TEST 2

Step 1

Check to see if there are any burrs on hinge pins.
If so, please polish the pin to remove burrs.

PROCEDURE 2

Tip 1

Don’t forget to add washer onto hinge pin.

Tip 2

When installing door onto hinge, please check the alignment of door stopper and hinge.

Tip 3

Make sure gasket is properly attached.

Tip 4

Make sure gaps between doors are even.
