8.7 RELIABILITY FAULTS:
DOOR ALLIGNEMENT PROBLEMS
CHECK AND TEST 1
Vertical misalignment between upper doors.
DIAGNOSIS 1
PROCEDURE 1
Unscrew hinge cover.
Remove the cover.
Disconnect the terminals.
Unscrew 3 bolts and remove the top hinge.
Remove upper door.
PROCEDURE 2
Reworking method:
Add or reduce washer to left or right of middle hinge.
Don’t forget to add washer onto hinge pin.
When install door onto hinge, please check the match between door- stopper and hinge.
Make sure gasket is attached well.
Make sure gaps between doors are even.
Check whether the gasket plate can be turned over normally when the door is opened or closed.
CHECK AND TEST 2
Measure the gap again.

Vertical gap between fridge doors is not even.
PROCEDURE 2
Move the top hinge inward or outward.
Move the middle hinge inward or outward.

Misalignment in fore- and-aft direction.

Add or reduce washer in middle hinge or move top and bottom hinge. inward or outward.

Gap(s) in horizontal direction is (are) not even or there is vertical misalignment of freezer drawer doors.
PROCEDURE 4
Follow the procedure to
take the freezer drawer
out.
a. Remove the upper
freezer drawer.
b. Remove the bottom freezer drawer.

Check if the wheels on the cabinet and drawer bracket are broken or not.

If replacing the wheels is not working or the wheels are ok, use square ruler to measure the deformation of drawer brackets and cabinet.

information of the wheels
on cabinet.
