Step 1

Power off the appliance and open the door to let internal temp. warm up to ambient temperature. 

Step 2

Set thermostat to max- 1 and power on the appliance.

Step 1

Keep the appliance running, and pay attention to the stop and startup of compressor. 

Step 2

Find out the bulb.

After first stopping and second startup of compressor, measure temperature near thermostat bulb.

CASE 1:

TEMP. SETTING KNOB ON TOP COVER 

PROCEDURE 1

Step 1

Remove screw cover. 

Step 2

Unscrew. 

Step 3

Push the top cover forward. 

Step 4

Take off the top cover. 

Step 5

Prize up thermostat with slotted Screw Driver. 

Step 6

Disconnect the knob from thermostat. 

Step 7

Disconnect terminals for thermostat 

Step 8

Pull out capillary of thermostat. 

Step 9

Remove the thermostat bulb cover. 

Step 10

Pull capillary out from the foam. 

PROCEDURE 2

Tip 1

When inserting capillary into the hole, make sure the red mark stays outside of the foam and seal the hole with plastic or sponge. 

Tip 2

When inserting thermostat into the hole, please ensure the seal of the hole is good. 

CASE 2:

TEMP. SETTING KNOB ON THE FOREHEAD OF CABINET 

PROCEDURE 1


Step 1

Unscrew. 

Step 2

Remove the thermostat cover. 

Step 3

Unscrew. 

Step 4

Remove thermostat holder. 

Step 5

Unscrew. 

Step 6

Disconnect terminals for thermostat. 

Step 7

Pull capillary out from hole. 

Step 8

Remove the thermostat bulb cover. 

Step 9

Pull capillary out from cabinet.

Tip 1

If you can’t insert the connecting shaft with knob into final position, please remove the knob first, then install the shaft into final position, and at last, install the knob. 

Tip 2

When inserting the thermostat, the direction of the connecting part should be consistent. 

Tip 3

When inserting the knob, the direction of the connecting part should be consistent. 

Tip 4

Make sure the blue mark is outside the cabinet. 

Tip 5

Make sure wires are placed into cavity of thermostat. 

Tip 6

Make sure the seal of the hole is good. 

CASE 3:

TEMP. SETTING KNOB ON COMPRESSOR NICHE 

PROCEDURE 1


Step 1

Unscrew. 

Step 2

Remove thermostat box. 

Step 3

Cut off the cable tie. 

Step 4

Prize up the thermostat knob. 

Step 5

Remove the knob. 

Step 6

Prize up the thermostat. 

Step 7

Prize up the thermostat. 

Step 8

Pull thermostat bulb out of cover. 

Step 9

Pull capillary out from the foam.

Tip 1

Don’t forget to put the wires in right position and attach with a cable tie.

Performance Testing Procedures and Assessment Criteria.

1. Sensor position: Freezer: geometric center of freezer compartment.

2. Test time: 30min to 60min.

3. Stop Gear: compressor-stopping gear must be above the gear listed on the table.

4. Temperature drop must be no less than the value on the table.
